Please read before you register

Course policies

We want every student to have a clear, fair and well-organised learning experience. Students are asked to confirm that they have read and accepted these policies during registration.

Registration, payment & refunds

Registration & seat confirmation

Submitting a registration form does not automatically confirm a seat. A seat is confirmed once the required fee or first agreed instalment has been received and confirmation has been issued by German with Tayyaba.

  • Seats are subject to availability and allocated on a first-confirmed basis.
  • For courses above A1, a placement assessment may be required to ensure the selected level is appropriate.
  • Students are responsible for providing correct contact and registration information.
  • For students under 18, registration and acceptance of the course policies must be completed or approved by a parent or legal guardian.

Payment

Course fees and payment deadlines are communicated before enrolment. Payment must be made by the stated deadline to confirm or retain a seat.

  • Where instalments are offered, they are a payment arrangement for the complete course fee — not a monthly subscription or pay-per-class arrangement.
  • Missing classes or discontinuing attendance does not automatically cancel an agreed payment obligation.
  • Discounts or fee benefits apply only according to the conditions announced for that course and cannot be combined unless specifically stated.
  • Students should retain their payment receipt or transaction record.

Refunds

Please consider your availability, schedule and course requirements carefully before confirming your enrolment.

  • Once a course has started, fees are normally non-refundable where a student withdraws because of a personal change of plan, work or study commitments, travel, missed classes, attendance difficulties, technical problems on the student’s side, or inability to continue with the course.
  • Refund requests made before the course begins must be submitted in writing and will be reviewed according to the circumstances and any conditions communicated at registration.
  • In genuine exceptional circumstances, German with Tayyaba may consider a partial refund, adjustment or course credit. These exceptions are considered individually and are not guaranteed.
  • If German with Tayyaba cancels a course before it begins, students will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer the amount to another suitable course.
  • If a course is permanently discontinued after it has started, the unused portion of the fee will be refunded or adjusted against another course.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Attendance & classes

Attendance

Regular attendance is essential for language learning and for keeping pace with the course. Students are expected to attend classes punctually and participate regularly.

  • Students who miss classes remain responsible for covering the work, homework and material they have missed.
  • Repeated absence or late arrival may significantly affect progress. German with Tayyaba cannot guarantee that missed learning can be recovered during regular class time.
  • Poor attendance, repeated lateness or difficulty keeping up because of missed classes does not automatically entitle a student to transfer to another batch or restart the course.

Missed classes & no-shows

If you are unable to attend a class, please inform the administration at least three hours before the class. In an emergency, please inform us as soon as reasonably possible.

  • A class missed without prior notice is treated as a no-show. It is counted as conducted and will not normally be repeated, rescheduled, refunded or adjusted against future classes.
  • Genuine emergencies may be considered individually, and reasonable supporting information may be requested where appropriate.
  • Where a class is scheduled for only one student, or a group class has only one remaining student, and that student does not attend without prior notice, an additional PKR 1,500 no-show fee applies, as the teacher’s time has been reserved and the class cannot proceed in the student’s absence.
  • Students arriving more than 15 minutes late without prior notice may be marked absent. The teacher is not required to repeat missed content or extend the class beyond its scheduled finishing time.
  • After two no-shows, the student may receive a written warning. Continued no-shows, repeated lateness or failure to communicate may result in a review of the student’s continued enrolment.
  • Transfers to another batch or course are not provided solely because of poor attendance, repeated lateness, missed classes or inability to keep up as a result of missed learning. Reasonable exceptions may be approved by the administration in genuine circumstances — an exception in one case does not automatically apply to other cases.

Course schedule & timing changes

Course dates and timings are announced before registration. A timing change requested by an individual student cannot be guaranteed, particularly where other students are enrolled in the same batch.

  • Where possible, German with Tayyaba will continue with the originally announced schedule unless a change is reasonably necessary.
  • A class may occasionally need to be rescheduled because of teacher illness, technical problems, public holidays, emergencies or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Students will be informed as early as reasonably possible.
  • If German with Tayyaba cancels a scheduled class, it will normally be rescheduled or otherwise made up.
  • Before a course begins, German with Tayyaba may occasionally need to postpone, merge or cancel a batch for academic, enrolment or operational reasons. Affected students will be informed and offered an appropriate alternative or refund where applicable.

Online class requirements

Our online courses are interactive classes rather than lecture-only sessions.

  • Students should join through a laptop or computer wherever possible. A tablet may also be used, but a mobile phone is not recommended for regular classes because digital learning tools and interactive activities are frequently used.
  • Students should have a working camera, microphone and reliable internet connection. Camera and microphone participation may be required for speaking practice, pronunciation work, pair activities and other interactive tasks.
  • Students are responsible for their own internet connection, electricity, device and other equipment required to attend the class. Backup internet or electricity is encouraged where possible.
  • Classes missed because of internet, electricity or device problems on the student’s side are treated as student absences and are not normally rescheduled.
  • If a substantial part of a class cannot be delivered because of a technical problem on the institute’s side, German with Tayyaba will arrange an appropriate make-up or alternative.

Materials, exams & assessments

Recordings & materials

Regular classes are not automatically recorded, and students should not rely on recordings as a substitute for attendance.

  • Students may not record, photograph, screen-record, reproduce, share, publish or distribute classes or other participants without permission.
  • Course materials supplied directly by German with Tayyaba are for the registered student’s personal learning use and may not be reproduced, sold, published or distributed without permission.
  • Books, worksheets, websites and other third-party resources remain subject to the copyright and terms of their respective publishers or owners.
  • German with Tayyaba may use digital learning platforms and third-party educational tools as part of the course.

Course enrolment & official exams

Enrolment in a German with Tayyaba course means enrolment in the language course only — it does not mean the student is registered for any official German-language examination.

  • Students who wish to take an official examination must register separately with the relevant examination provider or authorised examination centre, and follow their registration requirements, deadlines and fee structure.
  • Any official examination fee is separate from the German with Tayyaba course fee unless specifically stated otherwise.

Observation & assessment sessions

A 45-minute observation session in an ongoing course, or a placement/assessment session, may be booked for PKR 1,000.

  • This PKR 1,000 fee will be adjusted against the course fee if the student enrols in the nearest available suitable course.
  • An observation or assessment session does not reserve a seat or confirm enrolment — course admission is confirmed separately according to the Registration & Seat Confirmation policy.
  • For courses above A1, an assessment may be required to determine the most suitable level.

Communication

How we communicate with you

For clarity and proper record-keeping, important communication relating to registration, payments, refunds, absences, schedule changes or other administrative matters should be made in writing by email.

  • Students are responsible for checking the email address and WhatsApp number provided during registration and for informing us if their contact details change.
  • Absence notifications should be sent through the designated WhatsApp or email contact rather than through another student or informal third party.
  • Important changes concerning a course will be communicated through the contact information provided during registration.
  • Students and staff are expected to communicate respectfully. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or seriously inappropriate behaviour may result in restricted participation or review of enrolment.
  • Questions or complaints should be submitted in writing so that they can be properly reviewed and responded to.

German with Tayyaba may update these policies where reasonably necessary. Any material change affecting an existing enrolment will be communicated appropriately and will not retrospectively remove rights already agreed with the student.

Fee benefits

Fee benefits below apply to regular A1–C2 group courses only, as announced for those courses. Only one fee benefit may be used per course. Fee benefits do not apply when paying in instalments and cannot be combined unless specifically stated.

  • Early bird: PKR 5,000 off the regular course fee (deadlines on each course page)
  • Bring a friend: PKR 2,500 off for both candidates when registering together in one transaction
  • Internal student: PKR 2,500 off when continuing from the previous level with German with Tayyaba

Instalment plans are available on selected levels. See the relevant course page for amounts and dates.
